KIOSB D16: Musical Wanderings

Piano Keyboard and Hands Self-Portrait by Heather Luxion

Piano Self-Portrait by Heather Luxion

Ah, music, that beautiful sound that can bring with it so many wonderful (or terrible) emotions… As you’ll soon see, my musical tastes are all over the place and I tend to go for music based on the mood that I’m in — or how a particular song moves me — rather than sticking to any one band/artist/genre for long.

Today’s prompt for the Kickin’ It Old School Blog-a-thon is to share some favorite songs, so in no particular order here are ten random songs that have inspired, moved or just generally delighted me in some way:

Legacy by Anna Luxion

We are One by Dan Seals

Imidiwan Win Sahara by Tinariwen

Unforgettable by Natalie and Nat King Cole

The Way You Look Tonight by Michael Buble (or Frank Sinatra)

Demons by Imagine Dragons

Same Love by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin

There She Goes by The La’s

Bigger than My Body by John Mayer

Same love … yes!

I think I love every Imagine Dragons song …. they have such a different sound in each one. My favorite right now is Top of the World.
