The gentleness of self-care
This year I’ve been learning a lot about self-care and what it really means to show myself loving kindness as part of that. The more clients I coach, i.e. the more space I hold for others to process their own lives, the more I find myself needing to search out more of that kind of support for me. More than the obvious of taking care of myself physically and emotionally, self-care has become even more acutely about being gentle with myself, allowing myself space to feel more of everything — vulnerable, messy, unfinished, tired, sad, joyful, uncertain — all without judgement.
